Start Two Sessions with the Same User in Windows Server 2012

Many times we encounter the problem of working with a client, and this provides us with a user account within their server.That user account may be used by another person, since in some cases they do not usually create a new one. And this is where the problem comes, we start a “battle” to be connected, and we start to pull the session until one of the two desists.

Here I am going to present an alternative to this problem, being able to be connected more than a session within the same user in a few steps:

1. To solve this problem we must go to the Windows registry (regedit.exe).

2. Once inside, we go to the next path in the Windows registry and open the field fSingleSessionPerUser (Bottom Image).

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Teminal Server

In this field we must change the default value (1) to (0). And we accept to make the change.

3. Now is the time to verify that we can actually have two sessions open within the same user. For this we proceed to connect through two connections with “Remote Desktop” on the server in particular with the same user.
