Spring News for Microsoft Teams – May 2022

With the arrival of spring comes the latest news and features for Microsoft Teams. Surely you will already know many of them, but some may not yet be in operation in all tenants.

Text Prediction for Teams Mobile

When you compose or reply to a message in Teams, Editor Text Predictions anticipates your writing and suggests an appropriate word or phrase online. This saves time and helps you reduce typos.

Chat Filter

You can now quickly find chat messages with the new filter functionality. From this filter you can search both unread messages, chat messages and even meeting messages. Find everything you need in just one click.

Attendance Dashboard

Measure meeting and webinar registration and attendance data with the new Attendance Dashboard. To access this panel, once the meeting is over, we must go to the call in the calendar and an Attendance option will appear in the upper tab. Here we can find details such as the number of participants and the time that each of them has remained in the meeting. This feature is enabled by default. If you want to disable it, you can do it from the Teams administration center by clicking on the AllowEngagementReport policy in the Meeting Policies section.

Teams Webinar Capabilities

Now you can schedule webinars for up to 1,000 attendees.

Webinar capabilities support creation of registration pages, email confirmation for registrants, host management for attendee video, audio, attendee reports, as well as interactive features such as polls, chat and reactions.
